Ride

There is a faint trepidation

A quaint murmur whispered by the heart

Travelling pass the realms of my gods

Oh my, where do I start?

My chest ripples in violet

And bursts in shades of lilac

I welcome the warmth

That blooms my soul

I let my thoughts free

Like wildfire running through me

Aching and wishing and dreaming and wondering

I drown in the memory of you

Lovesick with your energy

You consume me whole

I’m too shy to meet your gaze

So I stare at your reflection

Instead of your ethereal summer face

My world falls apart

When your hands pull at the strings of my heart

I don’t quite complain

I’ll enjoy us while we last

If I must suffer, let it be this way

For I would ride through eons of pain

If I could hold your face

The sweetness and bitterness of it all

Of my being yearning to be a part

Of your universe

Nags me day by day

The longing of being with you

A dream far, far away
